It sure is! SnowScape and SnowHold are both made from recycled plant based materials. SnowHold has been lab tested to be “biodegradable”. Our SnowScape Pro product is 100% biodegradable. Pet and human safe to play in, but folks, it’s not meant for consumption.

SnowScape cover approximately 25-30 square feet at 3 inches deep. Best coverage is achieved by blowing in the material. SnowHold covers 4-5 eight foot evergreen trees. SnowHold provides great coverage, but it the amount depends on the build and surface to which you are applying. If applying to a flat surface, we recommend approximately one bag for every 75 square feet at ¼ inch thick.

Snowscape absorbs moisture and remains bright white in color. Heavy rains will matt the surface and cause it to be less fluffy. Once Snowscape dries back out in the sun, it become fluffy again.

Since SnowScape is non-adhesive, it can simply be shoveled or vacuumed up with a vacuum cleaner, industrial vacuum, lawnmower, or leave blower with a bagging system. For reallhy easy cleanup, simply use our Ground Cloth with you apply SnowScape and the roll it up like a big burrito to discard. SnowHold can be simply washed off with a garden hose or a power pressure washer.

Yes, SnowScape will act like real snow when you walk on it and leave impressions such as footprints when walked on. It simulates real snow, so it is great to interact with whether you are producing a movie or holding an event. SnowHold can be walked on once it is completely dry, but we do not recommend walking on it when it is wet or even slightly damp. SnowHold when not completely dry, will stick to just about anything including your shoes, but it can be removed with water.

For smaller projects, SnowScape and SnowHold are both easy to apply—no special equipment required. Simply pour SnowScape right out of the bag and spread it with your hands, a rake, or a broom for a light, natural look. If you’re using SnowHold adhesive snow, just mix it with a fine water mist as you go; it will dry and stick beautifully once applied.

For larger displays or full-yard transformations, you can speed things up with equipment. We recommend using an insulation blower for SnowScape or the SnowForce machine for SnowHold. Both connect to a regular 110v outlet (and a garden hose for SnowForce) to make application quick and even.
